Samadi September Happenings!


Hi friends!

At the core of your inner quest; at its deepest level, is the open space of curiosity. This comes down to the understanding of softness and being sensitive to what is happening in this moment. This practice is called mindfulness, which summonses our presence as an observer to interact and feel out the questions more than seeking the solutions. This action of observing and receiving here and now has a deep influence on our capability to perceive our experience. 

Now visualize mindfulness in your yoga practice; being aware of your senses, beliefs and opinions. Witness yourself being present with the pose and notice when restlessness begins to arise. Then, come back to your senses, your rhythms in the body and lastly to your breath. Mindfulness in our practice allows us the space to taste the nectar of these moments, knowing that this too is not a permanent moment.

Derived from Sanskrit, Samadi means a complete state of concentration or integration. Our intention is to train students in having a fresh perspective on how to approach and grow your own yoga practice.  Empowering students to be informed and discerning practitioners. Having holistic lifestyle tools to support you in your daily life. Our yoga training emphasizes the importance of engaging the mind in yoga practice in order to gain insight into one’s attitudes, view-points, identifications, agendas and (self) judgements . We address the importance of working with the emotional body and so to approach the practice as a mind-body-heart discipline.

This September we are offering an array of new Yoga Classes and Events and Introducing students to the recently launched Samadi Yoga Academy beginning in December. Including a variety of stand-alone courses, a student training, a teacher training and a mentoring program for seasoned teachers.

The Samadi Yoga Academy is the latest development at Samadi and will include a variety of stand-alone courses, a student training, a teacher training and a mentoring program for seasoned teachers. We have developed a curriculum of yogic studies designed to support you in deepening your understanding and practice of yoga providing a wholesome and comprehensive overview of what yoga has to offer exploring the anatomy of your mind and the philosophy of your body. 

These courses are organized around 6 modules of 50 hours each to be completed over 2-3 years. Each module can be taken separately as a stand-alone continuing education or as part of the student training program which is the main requisite for training as a teacher with Samadi.

Each module is 6 days long and comprises yoga practice, teachings in yoga philosophy and psychology, embodied anatomy and integrative explorations. 

In the spirit of the yoga tradition which is the science of experience and the methodology of self-inquiry, each module provides not only a theoretical background but also an experiential dimension to inquire into the nature of our human experience.

Samadi Residency
Offering you 4 & 8 Day Personal Retreats

 
We have space that just opened up for any guests who would like to join our 4 or 8 day retreats for the whole month of  December.  This is a rarity as we are normally booked so well in advance! Our retreats are individual and customized providing our guests with beautiful designer rooms with an artistic and creative feel.  We also offer you carefully chosen organic vegetarian and vegan food creations from our Samadi Kitchen and holistic wellness therapies and treatments we have found helpful on our path to help you grow. Men’s Circle
FREE! Now every Friday at 7:15pm

 
Samadi will be hosting a FREE Men’s Circle beginning this month. This is a group for men wanting a place to share, ask questions and support other men related to our unique experience of being a man. In the weekly group gatherings we come together and share authentically from a heart-centered place whatever wants to be shared while being listened to and supported by the group. Together we support each other to grow as individuals as well as a community. 

Whats all the construction about?!

Something new is popping up next door! Organic, local, plastic free, fresh made sandwiches, bakery treats and groceries on the go?  Possibly a new Yoga Shala too!  Lets see what kind of surprises we have for the next coming months.  Stay tuned for sustainable news!

Movement Retreat

Throughout the week we will be collecting tools to start the process of letting go and doing away with unneeded expectations, tensions & habits, which we often unconsciously collect over our life.  This Retreat will build upon a movement phrase, individually and as a group. Learning perhaps totally new movement, creating & adapting it so it becomes your own and comfortable in your body. You will come to own this sequence and can take it with you, like a travel souvenir (but cooler than a magnet).

There will also be a chance to transpose your movement into the Bali environment if you wish. A few afternoons will be dedicated to visiting “locations” such as the beach, rice fields, and waterfalls and drawing inspiration from these environments to create still and moving images. Another beautiful take-home souvenir. 

Let’s get back to a peaceful, playful approach to moving and working with our body.
