Our Body as a Resource

Our body is a product of many thoughts and beliefs, that are sometimes conditioned and we have accepted them from our family or our surroundings, which we carry throughout our lifes. We unconsciously hold emotions in our body and for many us, a lot of experience through life may have brought shock, grief, anger, frustration and we have never had the opportunity to really express so it gets repressed and we get depressed. We experience all kinds of symptoms and never really had the opportunity to bring awareness to our breath and to our body. We often experience and move throughout life based on our thinking rather than tuning into the present moment, being connected into feelings and sensations with full awareness.

We don’t realise that once we connect to our breath and listen to our body, we have the access to a realm of information and we can develop our intuition. Our body is a wonderful resource, and when you can listen to every part of it, there is much possibilities that become available to us, it may also be your safest place to be – your home. What happens if you bring all of your attention to your breathing? Your energies begin to accumulate and by observing your breathing, you will learn a lot about yourself. Our body and our breath, go hand in hand, and together they guide us throughout our lifes, if we are willing to listen to them.

“Breath is the bridge which connects life to consciousness, which unites your body to your thoughts. Whenever your mind becomes scattered, use your breath as the means to take hold of your mind again.” – Thich Nhat Hanh
