Samadi Yoga Academy

200hr Yoga Teacher Training

Can yoga change lives?
We believe it can, but it comes down to what you believe.

The Samadi Yoga Teacher Training is a 28 day intensive program that begins with a deep dive into yourself and your practice. Life is journey of self awareness and self expression, and your yoga practice is tool to help you navigate the journey of life through all the calm times and especially through the storms. We will help you uncover you own personal why to answer the question, “WHY DO YOU PRACTICE YOGA?” What is your intention?

With that intention set, we will build, re-build, and deepen your practice through the traditional yogic asanas, philosophies, and breath practices along with modern tools of movement and self study to ultimately lead you to a more authentic, fulfilling and connected way of life.

From there you will find and develop your voice so that you can share yourself. Move past whatever is holding you back from fully self expressing, and with the strong foundation of knowledge and techniques learned throug the program, you will be equipped to confidently share your practice as a Yoga Alliance certified Yoga Teacher!

“Samadi Bali is the perfect venue to host intimate retreats or trainings. With 10 beautiful rooms, a private pool, and both indoor and outdoor yoga shalas, the space is divine. Not only is it located in the heart of Canggu—walking distance to the beach, and some of the top cafes in Bali, it’s also tucked down a back alley next to a rice field so the views are incredible and the ambiance is very serene. I’ve now hosted more than 10 retreats/trainings in various locations and found Samadi’s management team to be the most responsive, caring & capable around. They catered to any extra requests and adapted to the feedback from our first visit so it just keeps getting better. The food is tasty, delicious, filling & well-designed to fit any dietary requirements while maintaining taste and presentation. We can’t wait to be back and host another training at Samadi soon”

Lead Teacher

Chris Walker

Chris Walker is a grateful student of yoga. Following an +11 year career in the corporate world, many of his successes were driven and based on society’s definition of success, the practice of yoga and subsequently teaching it saved his life. While only being slightly dramatic, this belief system was ultimately a blocker to his journey towards self awareness and self acceptance, and if you aren’t being you are you even living?

His studies began in London and have evolved while studying with his teachers Janet Stone, Bernie Clark, Mark Whitwell, and Meaghan Currie to name a few. From the creative vinyasa to power yoga to yin and hatha, Chris’ view on yoga is deeply focused on intention. Why do we do what we do? His journey on the mat has ultimately been a journey to find a sense of self. Society told him for so long what he was supposed to be doing, what success was supposed to look like, what he should feel, and what he shouldn’t feel, so he works with students to find balance. The unique balance points we all have that connect us to our truest most authentic self.

Yoga is union, the action of connecting, and Chris believes that every person has the right to and can feel empowered to find, focus, and deepen whatever union they feel is important to them which reinforces the belief that there is no right or wrong yoga. He looks to connect the dots between the sometimes overly complex yoga philosophies and deliver them in a grounded way that resonates with regular people.

Tonia Burrow

Tonia Burrow is a fierce yet gentle and loving international yoga instructor and yoga teacher training leader. Educated in economic and community development and international trade in Mumbai, India, she works as an artist and entrepreneur. Though her studies brought her to India, it was her discovery of yoga and other spiritual practices here that completely changed the trajectory of her life initiating a journey of spiritual growth through grace.

She has traversed the world and created a wellspring of knowledge and experience from the diverse teachings and lineages she has been blessed to find. This eclectic background is steeped in the eastern traditions of meditation and yoga alongside the western studies of philosophy, psychology and business.

As a humanist at heart, a yogi, a teacher, anatomy enthusiast and most importantly a student of life, Tonia brings the tools and techniques that come with her over 20 years of practicing yoga, 10 years for teaching yoga, 850 hours of training across Hatha, Kundalini, Tantra, Power, and Vinyasa, and +2000 hours teaching classes to her students through her devotion to create joy, activate beauty, and find vitality through deep transformations.

Tonia teaches from a place of deep a ection for others; she goes all in and encourages her students to give all they got. Our choices determine our behaviors, and our behaviors determine our outcomes and the quality of our lives. If we are serious about reaching our potential then there is no choice anymore. Stepping forward into growth is the only choice.
