As a center dedicated to healing and renewal, Samadi Bali provides a lush environment for the nourishment of body, mind and soul right in the heart of Canggu, Bali.

At Samadi Bali there is something for everyone, from beginners to experienced practitioners. We offer a variety of yoga styles suitable for individuals of all levels. Our yoga teachers are a mix of local Balineses and foreigners.

Damien has been practicing yoga and meditation for 28 years. He fell in love at first stretch when he was introduced to the the ashtanga practice in 1998 as it combined his passions for sports, meditation and self-inquiry. As an authorized Ashtanga teacher, his intention is to share the gifts of this system as they have been transmitted to him by his teachers. As a guide, his role is to inspire people to the practice and embark on the transformational journey toward themselves. When not teaching at his school in Canggu Bali, Damien travels around the world and shares his passion for yoga with insight, humour and compassion. He also holds certifications in psychology and bodywork and uses his understanding of the body-mind connections to support healing on many levels.

Celine is a Tantric yoga teacher and longtime surfer. She has been guided by
inspiring swamis, yogis and gurus including Swami Vivekananda Saraswati, Sri Prem Baba, His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Venerable Robina Courtin, Tara Judelle, and Sally Kempton. Celine consciously engages in her practice and studies, continuously evolving and understanding the interconnected nature of all things. She believes that we use only a tiny part of our potential and thus teaches with the intention to create a space for students to experience their own magic as a tool for evolution and empowerment. She teaches bodymind flow and yin classes as a framework for deep inquiry, self-development and transformation.

Jacqueline fell in love with Yoga in 1994 and has been teaching since 2001. She shares Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin, Yoga Nidra, Pre natal and Yoni Yoga, as well as Ecstatic Dance Journeys and Sound Healing. Blessed to have been guided by Yogi’s in India, Shamans in Peru, International Yoga and Ecstatic Dance communities, Jacqueline originally trained in Shadow Yoga before going on to practice Ashtanga in Mysore. She then held her own Mysore practice space in Cape Town for 4 years. Jacqueline’s approach to Yoga is one of deep enquiry and self love based on knowing that we all hover the power to heal ourselves and each other.She is an adoring mother to a gorgeous earth child named Jai.

Todjon’s yoga practice is a mix of the various disciplines stemming from Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga, Jivamukti, Yin, Restorative, and Acro Yoga. He began his training as a teacher in Jakarta in early 2012 and spent many years under the supervision of highly skilled and well respected gurus. Todjon’s class is often recognized by his students as soulful and spirited combining asanas, meditation, philosophy and breathing practices. He shares his teachings and passion of yoga through his travels teaching in many yoga studios and festivals in Indonesia and Cambodia. Todjon now resides inBali to deepen his knowledge and philosophy of yoga with his teachers.He is also a scriptwriter and believes yoga has helped him to open his mind to ever evolving perspectives allowing transformation into a more creative person

Andréa began her Ashtanga yoga journey in 2006 in Barcelona, Spain. She makes bi-yearly trips to study under Sharath Jois at the Sri. K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute (KPJAYI) in Mysore, India. When not in the shala practicing asanas, Andrea is researching philosophy and partaking in chanting practice. She has since been blessed to teach as an authorised level 2 Ashtanga teacher through KPJAYI in Mysore, India. Andrea completed her certification in Life Coaching with the Noble Manhattan in the UK in 2009 and often uses the combination of yoga, travel, coaching and of course natural maturity as a tool to support her Yoga Students off the mat. Today, she shares her own experiences from her personal and professional life while learning from people, languages and cultures from all corners of the world. She also believes in a power switch inside everyone and when you can switch that on, life flows in a new way.

Abdi followed his heart and calling beginning his Yoga Journey at Sea with determination and discipline to attain a spiritual practice.His inspiration and practice stemmed from BKS Iyengar’s book titled “The path of Holistic Healing”.BKS Iyengar guided him in his studies and practice on board luxury cruise ships where Abdi was working throughout the world. After almost 4 years of self study, Abdi settled on land and introduced himself to a variety of Yoga Teachings. In 2006, Abdi began sharing his love for yoga, teaching in private villas and resorts and leading several yoga retreats in Ubud and Seminyak . Abdi specializes in Charkra philosophy within the Hatha Yoga traditions.

Brigitta Sasya began practicing yoga in Jakarta after being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in 2015.Since then, Brigitta has deepened her yoga knowledge in Bali and completed her Teacher Training in 2017 with Denise Payne. She is a practitioner and teacher of Yin, Restorative, Vinyasa, Power, Fly High, and Thai Yoga Massage. For Brigitta, practicing yoga is all about enjoying the process. Her classes inspire a personal practice within a group setting to synchronize collective energy as a community. Brigitta believes yoga creates an opportunity for personal growth allowing space to tune in and build a healthy relationship with ourselves.

Melissa was introduced to yoga in 2006 in Southern California, and yoga immediately became a staple in her life. Since then she began to study yoga, attended teacher trainings, and maintain a steady self-practice. Melissa is a teacher and practitioner of many forms of yoga including vinyasa, ashtanga, prenatal, and restorative. She has made several trips to India to study yoga, breathing techniques, yogic philosophy, and Ayurveda. Melissa studied Ayurveda extensively under Dr. Madan Kumar, MD (Professor at Pankaja Kasthuri Ayurvedic College) in Thrivandrum, India. She believes these practices are tools that can be carried with all of us and applied in our daily lives. When life moves up and down we can find balance, be present, and breathe.
