“Yoga is really a breathing exercise in which we use the body to expand the mind”
Ashtanga yoga looks like physical exercise from the outside, but is really a spiritual experience on the inside. The ashtanga method is based on the weaving of body-movements with breath-movements into a deepening flow of yoga poses. A dynamic practice, Ashtanga yoga will stretch every corner of your body, invite you to strengthen your weak areas and inspire you to live with grace. Akin to a cooking process, the heat generated, the struggle endured and the peace cultivated combine together to reveal the flavour of your being.
“Dive into a sea of breath…”
Named after the birthplace of the ashtanga system in Mysore, south India; This is the traditional method for learning, deepening and perfecting your ashtanga practice. A private class in a group setting, the teacher doesn’t lead the whole group but holds the space for the practitioners, beginners and advanced together, to learn and refine their own practice. As a beginner you will be taught one pose at a time in order to integrate the information, gradually learn the sequence and develop your personalised yoga practice. You are invited to repeat over and over until a sense of flow and poise is attained. Eventually the teaching becomes more subtle allowing the practice itself to be your guide. You don’t need to be flexible or know the sequence in order to begin. The practice will teach you gradually.
Beginners are required to commit to 10 classes to participate in the Mysore classes, in order to get a better understanding of the practice and its sequence
“Exploring your inner landscape..”
A way to get first acquainted with the ashtanga sequence, the teacher directs the class and takes the time to explore the fundamentals of the method. Each class cultivates a theme that allows you to integrate ever more subtle layers of experience. All levels welcome.
“Go with the flow..”
Vinyasa yoga style is a dynamic yoga practice flowing from pose to pose by synchronising body movements with breath movements. Explore new yoga poses into a gradual progression from easier to more advanced options. Get ready to move, breathe, sweat and challenge yourself! Open to all levels.
“Heart Opening transformation through the body”
Tantra embraces all the manifestations of the life energy, the Shakti, as a tool to reach higher states of consciousness. It studies and embraces life in all its manifestations; body, emotions, energy, sexuality, astrology, sounds (mantras), patterns (yantras) Hatha yoga style, a body orientated practice, comes from the tantric tradition.
The awareness you develop first on a body level is then extended to your heart, mind and spirit, allowing you to get rid of the unnecessary veils covering your true self. Tantra is a powerful framework for transformation and spiritual development if you are ready to acknowledge, study and experience your darkness and your light.
An integrated movement of body and breath to calm your mind”
A softer approach to explore your inner landscape through yoga poses (Asanas), breathing exercises (Pranayama) and meditations.
“Melting your mind in slow-motion”
“Yin yoga style is a chance to find balance for the body and mind. You’ll sink into long, deep “yin” stretches to restore and find find length.” Yin yoga is a slow-down approach to melt connective tissues and cultivate a meditative mind. Yin yoga will transport you to faraway inner landscapes and help your body work through injuries and traumas. All levels welcome.
Body Mind Flow
“Synergy of Body and Mind “
Body mind flow is the yoga of conscious embodiment. We explore the intricate relationships between body, mind, emotions and energy circuits. Each class deepens a theme for us to self investigate, understand, feel and experience our potential. The benefits are numerous; more presence, strength and awareness, self healing and self empowerment.
The teachings come from the tantric and Taoist traditions, body-mind-centering, or any other source studying inter-connectedness. The flow is mainly asana based, intense physically and in term of focus but options are given for everyone to be able to practice.
Fly High Yoga
“Hang your body in the air and let go of any other care”
A form of aerial yoga focusing the lengthening of the spine, spacing out the vertebrae. Relax the body into its natural form and curves with out any pressure or over stretch letting the gravity do the work for you. In this practice you use a belt attached (securely..) to the ceiling, from this same belt you will compose numerous sets of poses hanging from the said belt, increasing flexibility and working on inversions.
“Restore the Body, relax the Mind”
A gentle class where the focus is on complete relaxation while holding passive postures for extended periods of time. This helps to restore the body and mind to a state of balance.
